ALPHA PAKISTAN

Equipping leaders for the next step

Held on October 8-9, 2026, the two-day National Alpha Leadership Refresher Training brought together leaders from different cities and local assemblies. The first day focused on 37 core Alpha leaders, followed by 256 additional leaders on the second day.

Amous, an Alpha Asia-Pacific leader from Malaysia, facilitated the programme alongside local Alpha trainers. The gathering renewed the leaders’ commitment to helping people explore the Christian faith and discover Jesus Christ.

ALPHA PAKISTAN

Making room for questions

Alpha offers a welcoming setting where people can ask honest questions, explore biblical teaching and learn about Jesus Christ. The training photographs show participants listening, taking notes and contributing around shared tables. These are practical foundations for the conversations leaders hope to nurture in their own communities.

ALPHA PAKISTAN

From a vision to national reach

Introduced into The Church of Pentecost Pakistan in 2023 through the vision and initiative of Shulmmitte Nasir, Alpha began with the training of 277 leaders. They launched programmes in approximately 250 locations, reaching more than 5,000 young participants in the first year.

The Church reports that more than 35,000 people have completed Alpha courses and over 800 leaders have been trained across Pakistan over the past three years. Urdu translations of Alpha materials and the introduction of the Alpha Youth Series have helped make the programme more accessible to the younger generation.

ALPHA PAKISTAN

Reaching beyond church buildings

Following the refresher training, participating leaders committed themselves to expanding Alpha into universities, schools, orphanages, children’s camps, sports clubs, underserved communities and brick-kiln settlements.

The aim is to create welcoming spaces for young people and those from non-Christian backgrounds to explore faith. Each new group offers an opportunity for local leaders to listen carefully, build relationships and share the message of Jesus Christ.

Welcoming people into conversation

The photographs also capture an essential human part of the gathering: people sharing food, sitting together and making connections. Alongside formal teaching, these moments reflect the welcoming atmosphere that the Church seeks to carry into new Alpha groups.

For ministries praying for Pakistan, the report offers a picture of local leaders preparing to serve their neighbours. The next stage of outreach will depend on their faithful presence in communities, their willingness to listen and their commitment to discipleship.

PRAYER & PARTNERSHIP

Stand with the mission in Pakistan

The Church of Pentecost Pakistan invites the global Christian community to pray for the 293 leaders as they begin new Alpha programmes across the nation. Pray for wisdom, courage and protection, for welcoming spaces for honest questions, and for lasting growth in faith among participants.

Churches and ministries wishing to learn more about the work or explore partnership are invited to connect with The Church of Pentecost Pakistan. Together, prayer and encouragement can strengthen those serving on the ground.

Despite challenges, the Church remains committed to the Great Commission: raising disciples and reaching unreached communities with the transforming message of Jesus Christ.
